Msconfig Utility in Windows Vista has various options and settings you use to make changes to the launch of Windows Vista. In Vista, this tool can be used to enable or disable programs, applications and services that are loaded when Windows starts. You can significantly speed up the time at which to start the PC and save system resources and optimize the boot process. Run from the Start menu, in search of field, use msconfig to open the utility. If the operating system was onlyinstalled, so there's plenty of programs or services to be disabled. But it is interesting to see if there are some conditions that must be optimized.

The "Startup" tab, you can all the programs that load when Windows is started or the computer to see. To avoid affecting all Microsoft services, simply activate the option Hide all Microsoft services, which makes it easier for you to identify unnecessary services.

To easily identify any problems starting, make a list of all programs, disabled and enabled in your startup list. Then uncheck all programs except Microsoft services. Restart your computer andthen check the services that you cleared are still cleared, if not, then points to a virus in your system.

If your newly installed Windows Vista without erasing the old system, you can remove the old version from the Start menu.
